| The outstanding exporter to Japan
award is granted annually in a festive gala event. It is awarded
to 10 companies that have excelled in exporting to Japan in
the past year. |

| The 2003 award was given to Zoran
Microelectronics and the 2002 award to Iscar. Additional awards
are given to excelling industries such as the diamond, computer
communication and other industries. |
| |
| The award certificates are highly
appreciated in Japan and the winning companies post this fact
on their business cards. The outstanding exporter ceremony is
invariably attended by a minister as the guest of honor, who
gives the keynote address on Israel's economy and Japanese aspects.
This address is later quoted in the press. |

| When the preparations to the ceremony
begin, the chamber sends the companies that are in business
relations with Japan a questionnaire on their export volume
to Japan. A special committee of the chamber selects the winning
companies. |
| |
| Companies exporting to Japan that
have never received the export questionnaire are request to
inform the Chamber in order to be included in the mailing list. |
